Dan Medvedev's main academic interests are culture and motivation. More recently, he has studied the changing social norms and values in response to globalization and modernization, and how the rich and poor (and stereotypes about them) differ worldwide. His research has appeared in Nature Human Behavior, Nature Communications, and Psychological Science. He received his PhD in Behavioral Science from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and is the 2024-2026 DRRC Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Northwestern University Kellogg School of Management.

Danila will be working on the project on how wealth and income inequality shape global perceptions of the rich and poor, and potentially on a project on how attitudes about different social groups change before and after North and South American elections.
